How the Double Isolation Barrier Works In a double isolation barrier system, both rigid or flexible chambers utilize a first liner that is securely separated inside the chamber. This first liner is then transferred to the outside through a second liner, effectively creating a double isolation barrier that enhances safety and containment.

Typical Application: Safe Transfer of Active Products from an Isolation Chamber Transferring highly active substances requires a level of safety that surpasses traditional solutions. Mechanical separation systems typically achieve only OEB4 containment, while heat sealing liners, though an alternative, presents operational challenges, particularly in electrically rated environments where explosion-proof standards are required.

To achieve an OEB5 & 6 containment grade, the preferred approach is double isolation using a coaxial liner system. This method ensures: 1: The first liner remains inside the chamber and 2: The second liner, located outside the chamber, receives the first liner for safe disposal or processing.
