Single-use Passive Containment Valve - Plastic

AVAX is the new split butterfly valve technology from Andocksysteme. It’s made entirely of medical-grade plastic materials and represents a new generation in single-use containment interfaces. The valves are low cost, lightweight, and a key component of the Andocksysteme ACUBE and ACUBE PRO flexible IBC containment systems.

Strictly designed as a congruent, passive to passive system, this unique valve enables its usability in any desirable application due to its interoperability.

  • Meets OEB 5 requirements (≤ 1 mcg/m3)
  • Intuitive and secure handling
  • Tri-Clamp seal integrated (4” BS 4825-3)
  • Optional hybrid operation with the stainless steel AVAX valve
  • Sterilized version available

A key technology of all AVAX valves is its use of bayonet coupling as its locking mechanism. AVAX is the world’s first containment valve where housings and discs are locked to each other with a mutual locking motion.

The two component injection molding manufacturing process guarantees a fully hygienic design. The seal material is incorporated using chemical bonding forces which provide seamless results. All system components comply with the major pharmaceutical requirements like FDA, USP and EP.

One valve one system

AVAX split butterfly valves are also available in stainless steel, allowing AVAX valves to be used, and re-used, for applications with higher pressure and/or temperature requirements.

Due to its complementary design, the stainless steel AVAX is fully interchangeable with the plastic, single-use version of the valve. This enables straightforward hybrid operation of the stainless steel and plastic AVAX valves.

The AVAX system is generally operated manually but can also be automated with the addition of an actuated opening device.
