The SOLE valve comes in many different body types depending upon the application. Like all valves from COIRA, the SOLE valve can be offered in quick release (toolless) assembly. COIRA offers over 35 handles and 8 powered actuators to suit every application.

Tablet Valve (Basic Sanitary Butterfly Valve)
The Tablet Valve is the industry standard for controlled and safe discharging of tablets and granules. Unlike a typical butterfly valve which has a solid steel vane (flap), COIRA has designed a special encapsulated vane (stainless steel 316L center and FDA silicone outside) which cannot hurt tablets, granules, or even empty hard gel caps! Unlike the old style valve technology (Iris valves) the tablet valve is truly sanitary and comes apart without tools (over 10 different body styles are available). COIRA offers over 35 handles and 8 powered actuators to suit every application.

Rotary Valve (Basic Sanitary Butterfly Valve) Rotary Valve: Another industry first from COIRA was the ultra sanitary quick release rotary valve. This innovative valve has found it way into so many pharmaceutical and "clean processing" applications that it is now one of our best sellers. Unlike standard rotary valves, the COIRA valve has a total valve height of 1.49", weighs very little and can be taken apart without tools! Typical applications include metering products into a mill (any brand), maintaining a level power height on encapsulator hoppers (and other machine hoppers), and loss-in-weight or gain-in-weight feeding (directly from the bin, drum funnel or silo it is mounted to).
