How Does it Work?

Loading The Coater:
Due to its top loading design, filling the machine under total containment is an easy issue, and standard with the machine. Loading can be done manually by pouring in the tablets from a small container, or automatically with a Servolift lifter and Servolift tablet, bin, or drum. Please inquire for more details.

Loading:
- Simple, through the top, no doors to open.
- Total containment system
- Very gentle loading
- While product is loading it is distributed in the lower pan by gentile centrifugal motion.

Processing in the Coater:

- The cycle: The coater uses centrifugal movement to keep every tablet in a predetermined motion-path. The system also controls the thickness of the tablet bed where drying and coating occur. There are no dead spots and every tablet receives the exact amount of coating material.

- Spraying: Imagine that you have ring of tablets, and that you could control the thickness of the ring wall. This is what happens at the spaying point in the machine. DIOSNA has developed a special spray head that sprays evenly in a 360 degree circle. No matter how large the machine, only ONE spray head is required. Furthermore, the spray head is perfectly scaleable to every batch size—a feature in a spray head that has never before existed. The spray head is situated very close to the tablets allowing for almost 100% spraying efficiency—coating material is all affixed to the tablets, NOT sucked out of the air handling system.

- Air Handling: Another great step processing feature. Unlike conventional coating pans where the tablets form a thick layer in the pan, the DIOSNA Vertical Centrifugal Coater keeps every tablet moving in a predetermined circular motion that spreads out the tablet bed throughout the entire surface of the machine. This allows every tablet to come in contact with the drying air, which is forced into the tablet bed from below, and again to pass through the bed in the upper cone of the machine.

Discharging the Tablets:
The DIOSNA Vertical Centrifugal Coater has automatically controlled tablet discharging to the very last tablet. Starting and stopping the discharging is as easy as pressing a button.

Discharging is effected by lowering the coating pan and spinning it fast enough to allow tablets to gently flow over its lip and out of the tablet discharge port. Like filling the machine, total containment discharging is a snap for toxic products

Washing the Coater:
Cleaning a coater has never been easier than with the DIOSNA Vertical Centrifugal Coater system. The vertical design of the machine allows that the entire unit be filled with washing water. Rinsing, detergent or solvent washing and DI rinsing are all possible in one automatic cycle.
