| Bins
or IBCs (IBC is the correct technical name, it stands for Intermediate Bulk Container)
are the best method of handling, blending, and transferring any less-then-3000-liter
batch powder product. The process of blending is very simple. Basically, the products
are tumble diffused by continuously rotating the bin.
Servolift offers a whole host of bin types and blenders as follows: |

|
|
Cage Style Blender: The cage blender is our most popular method of handling the bins. The unit has a powered clamping cage that is cantilevered off our machine. The bin can be loaded by a manual pallet jack, which reduces the possibility of damage to the machine or process room by a powered forklift. The bin is held at an offset to the blend rotation for an asymmetric flow in the bin during tumbling (speeds up the blending process). This style unit works with round and square bins and can handle different size bins all in one machine (universal clamping system).

Capacities: Generally speaking, IBCs have up to a 70% fill capacity for proper blending; with the addition of baffle it is possible to Achieve up to 80%. It is always best to test your products in our NJ laboratory prior to placing an order.
